Each 15 × 15cm (6 × 6") Mini Pet Portrait is individually painted by me, Michelle Doughty, using acrylic paints on canvas. Rather than creating a photorealistic copy, I’ll capture your pet in my own painterly style, with visible brushwork, character and warmth.

Perfect for displaying on a shelf, mantelpiece or as part of a gallery wall, these little paintings also make a wonderfully personal gift for someone who adores their pet.

Your commission includes:

How it works

Once you have placed your order, simply send me a clear photograph of the pet you would like me to paint. Good natural lighting and a clear view of your pet's face will help me capture their individual features and character.

I will then create your portrait by hand in my signature painterly style.

Please remember that this is an original interpretation of your photograph rather than a photorealistic reproduction. Small variations and visible brushwork are part of what makes every portrait completely unique.

Your portrait will be finished with a complementary muted background chosen by the artist.

Please allow time for your portrait 

As every portrait is individually painted by hand especially for you, please allow up to 2 weeks for your artwork to be created, followed by the usual delivery time.

If your portrait is intended for a special occasion, I recommend ordering as early as possible to allow plenty of time for painting and delivery.

Need something larger?

The 15 × 15cm portrait is designed for a single pet and a relatively simple composition. If you would like a larger portrait, multiple pets or a more detailed scene, please contact me to discuss a bespoke commission.
